It’s that time of year to pullout your suitcases and get packing. Courtesy Cleaners has some helpful travel tips that will help you avoid arriving to your destination with wrinkled clothes.
Less Stuff: Although it may be nice to have a full suitcase with something to wear for any occasion, it may cause you to wear wrinkled clothes. The less stressed the clothing items are in your suitcase the better they will fair.
Roll Your Clothes: Folding naturally creates wrinkles or creases where as rolling doesn’t and can be a great space saver. This doesn’t work with all clothing items, but it is great for pants and t-shirts.
Stack to Stand: Since you suitcase will spend quite a bit of time upright, you may want to consider this when loading it. Your shoes and other heavy items should go in the end of the bag, which is the bottom when standing. This helps avoid creating crushing wrinkles.
Fill in the Gaps: If you have gaps in your suitcase allowing clothing to slide around and bunch up you should try and fill the gaps with larger, but not heavy items. You can also use some of the extra clothing that you ditched when you were following tip number one.
Save Your Dry Cleaning Bags: By packing clothing in dry cleaning bags (or other plastic bags) you reduce or eliminated friction which can cause wrinkles.
